Probate administration

contact us if you need assistance.

If you've been named as the personal representative or executor of a loved one’s estate, you're already aware that it's a lot of responsibilty and can be confusing.   If you choose to undertake handling the entire probate process by yourself, you will be required to gather and find all the estate's assets and liabilities, to learn how the court works, how to draft and present documents to the court, and how to answer questions from the Probate judge.   In some states it can take up to 18 months from start to finish, and depending on how complicated the estate is, you can easily make mistakes that needlessly add months to the process.

We know how Probate works, so we can make the path through Probate easier and shorten the time it takes to close the Estate by making the following steps on your behalf:

  • Filing petitions to probate the Will and obtaining letters testamentary or letters of administration
  • Identifying, collecting and establishing the value of the estate’s assets and liabilities
  • Notifying creditors and paying off or settling legitimate claims against the estate
  • Filing motions or applications such as to waive posting a bond, for guardianship, and to distribute assets early
  • Transferring title to personal and real property
  • Distributing the decedent’s remaining assets in accordance with their will or state law
  • Closing the estate, which may include completing tax returns or filing additional papers with the probate court.
